Low Laithes

Low Laithes is a residential care home in Wombwell providing accommodation and personal care for up to 35 young people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder, living in self-contained apartments across several services. The CQC rated the home good overall, with a new manager and deputy manager recently appointed.

Inspectors found staff were caring and attentive, with detailed, person-centred care records and good family involvement. People could make choices and access activities in the community. Feedback on staffing was mostly positive, though some relatives raised concerns about consistency of staff and reliance on agency workers.
