Low Laithes

Low Laithes provides accommodation and personal care for up to 35 young people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder in self-contained maisonettes with kitchens, living areas and en-suite bedrooms. The home also has communal areas, activity spaces and gardens on site. The service maintains a good standard of care with a registered manager who is supportive and promotes person-centred care. The leadership team demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement with effective governance systems in place to monitor quality and safety.

People's needs are assessed and care is planned individually in line with legislation. Staff support residents with medicines and ensure regular access to healthcare professionals. Nutritional needs are met with varied menus offering choice. The home recruits staff safely and maintains adequate staffing levels to meet residents' needs. Staff receive relevant training and are knowledgeable about identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns to the local authority.
