Rosglen

Rosglen provides residential care to adults with acquired brain injury, physical disability or sensory impairment, supporting up to six people. At inspection, one person was living there. The resident was extremely complimentary about the service, describing it as "the best" compared to other care homes they had experienced. They praised staff and management for being caring and approachable. Inspectors observed a friendly atmosphere with the person well cared for and receiving good support from staff who understood their needs.

Care files demonstrated thorough assessments of individual needs, with highly personalised care plans that addressed physical support and broader aspects of wellbeing. Inspectors saw numerous examples of staff helping residents fulfil their goals and aspirations. When the home had more occupants previously, there were periods where the dynamic was less positive, suggesting that compatibility assessments between residents needed strengthening before admission to ensure a positive environment in this small setting.
