Longwood Grange

Longwood Grange is a residential care home supporting older people, including those living with dementia. Following an assessment, the CQC rated the service Good overall, finding that staff understood safeguarding, responded promptly to concerns, and managed risks well through updated care plans and specialist referrals. Staffing levels and recruitment practices were considered safe and appropriate.

Inspectors found that people were treated with dignity and encouraged to make their own choices, with care plans reflecting personal, cultural and social needs. Activities were varied and tailored to individuals, and families reported feeling welcomed and listened to. Staff worked closely with health professionals, and future needs, including end of life care, were planned with appropriate involvement.
