Crimson Manor

Crimson Manor is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 20 older people and people living with dementia. The CQC rated the service inadequate overall, following an assessment prompted by concerns raised about the home. Inspectors found five breaches of regulations covering safe care, dignity, premises, staffing and governance, with a lack of management oversight and weak audits.

The provider now faces civil enforcement action and the home has been placed in special measures.

Residents said staff were kind but too stretched, with some help delayed and only showers available where baths were wanted. Cleanliness and maintenance were criticised, though refurbishment had begun. Feedback on management approachability and communication was mixed, though food and activities were generally well regarded.
