Lindisfarne Birtley

Lindisfarne Birtley provides nursing and personal care for up to 66 older people across three units on three floors, supporting older people, those living with dementia, and people with mental health conditions. At inspection, 52 people were resident at the service. Residents and their relatives reported feeling safe and expressed satisfaction with their care. Medicines were managed safely with sufficient staffing levels, and recruitment followed safe procedures. Staff understood how to identify and report abuse concerns, protecting people from harm through assessed risks and mitigation plans. The home adhered to Covid-19 guidance with adequate personal protective equipment available and staff trained in its proper use. Visitor screening procedures were in place at the building entrance.
