Lindau Residential Home

This residential care home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 37 older people, some living with dementia, and supports one person with a learning disability. At the time of inspection, 24 people were using the service. Community nurses met residents' nursing needs.

Staff encouraged independence, but support for people with learning disabilities had gaps. There was no consistent approach to helping people identify and work towards personal goals or to learn and maintain new skills where appropriate. Communication needs were not always met, with a lack of directional signs to help people navigate the home and limited easy-read information and reminders available throughout the service.
