About Lime House

Lime House is a residential care home in Wigan, providing support for older people, including those living with dementia. Details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Lime House in Wigan is a residential care home for older people, including many living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, with safety judged Inadequate. Inspectors found weak oversight of risk, medicines, infection control and moving and handling, alongside unclear staffing levels and gaps in personal care, oral hygiene and night checks.

Staff were found to be kind and respectful, and some people spoke positively about their care. However, care plans lacked person-centred detail, dementia support and activities were limited, and the provider had not acted promptly on concerns raised by its own audits. The service was in breach of regulations covering person-centred care, staffing and governance.
