Lifeways Community Care (South Shields)

This service provides residential care for up to four people with learning disabilities and/or autism, with three people currently using it. Staff have received safeguarding training and know how to identify and report abuse. Risk assessments are in place to support safe care, and recruitment procedures are robust with appropriate staffing levels. When incidents occur, lessons are learned and shared with staff to prevent recurrence.

People receive kind and compassionate care from staff who follow proper infection control procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Relatives and professionals spoke very positively about the level of support people receive at the service.
