Langford Park

Langford Park provides accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 35 older people, those living with dementia, and younger people with a physical disability. At inspection, 31 people were living there across three floors in a rural parkland setting near Exeter. The service had experienced managerial changes and was temporarily managed by the provider with support from the clinical and quality assurance leads. Staff reported positive developments, with one commenting that "Langford have made lots of changes and there is more support from the management team and the nurses. I think we are at a very good place and all working together as a team better."

The management team fostered a culture of openness and transparency, demonstrating commitment to reflecting on issues and sharing learning with staff to improve quality and safety. The majority of staff felt well supported both personally and professionally, and feedback from people and relatives confirmed that systems and processes continued to develop effectively under the current leadership.
