Ladysmith Care Home

Ladysmith provides personal care for up to 90 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 86 people were being supported across two floors in a single building. Medicines were administered safely, with staff following proper procedures. Care plans and risk assessments gave staff the information needed to support people's needs and maintain their quality of life, with staff remaining responsive to suggestions for improvement.

Staff understood their responsibilities for safeguarding and knew how to report concerns about abuse. The home followed safe recruitment practices and supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible. End of life care wishes were explored and recorded with people.
