Homefield House

Homefield House provides residential care for up to 24 older people and those living with dementia, with 20 residents at the time of inspection. The service offers both personal and nursing care support. Inspectors found that residents' views were not actively sought and their involvement in the dining experience was limited, with choices restricted and the environment not well presented. The provider has already identified the need for decorating and new flooring, with work planned to commence shortly.

Medication administration required improvement, as some residents lacked 'as and when' protocols, though the deputy manager immediately rectified this to ensure all residents had appropriate protocols in place. Staff had received medication training and safe practice in administering medicines was observed during the inspection. The service maintains effective safeguarding systems, policies and procedures to protect residents.
