Kimberly West & East Care Centres

Kimberly West & East Care Centres provides personal and nursing care to 48 residents aged 65 and over. The purpose-built home accommodates people across three floors in two adjoining buildings that share a central kitchen and laundry. In addition to long-term care, the service provides intermediate and 'step up' care aimed at reducing hospital admissions and helping people regain independence to return home.

The inspection found concerns from residents and relatives regarding insufficient staffing levels and their impact on the quality of care provided. Issues were noted around response times to residents' needs and the ability of staff to deliver person-centred support consistently.
