About Kiln Lodge

Kiln Lodge is a residential care home in Hampshire, providing support to people with dementia and physical disabilities. Full details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Kiln Lodge accommodates up to 24 people, including those living with dementia or physical disabilities. At inspection, 21 residents were living at the home. Care planning records contained detailed risk assessments linked to individual needs, and medicines administration, management and storage systems were mostly safe, with the provider and manager working to embed more robust protocols.

Sufficient staffing levels were in place to meet people's needs and keep them safe.

The service had processes to learn from incidents and accidents. People and their relatives felt staff were well trained, and residents were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible. While supervisions, appraisals and team meetings had not been completed consistently, there had been improvement since the manager took post.
