Kemble House

Kemble House accommodates up to 15 people with autistic spectrum conditions and complex needs, currently supporting 13 residents. People living there told inspectors they enjoyed their home and felt safe, though two residents mentioned discomfort about occasional behaviour from some recently departed residents. Staff were consistently described as kind and caring by residents, families, and health professionals alike. Long-standing staff demonstrated strong understanding of individual needs, while newer staff were still developing this knowledge.

The service provided personalised care and actively worked to maximise residents' choices. People participated in community activities of their choosing, though some residents expressed a desire for additional outings. Despite the service's size being larger than best practice guidelines recommend, it remained focused on supporting residents' independence and engagement with their local communities.
