Kavanagh Place

Kavanagh Place is a residential care home supporting people living with dementia, mental health conditions, physical disabilities and Huntington's disease, with capacity for around 40 residents. The CQC rated the service good overall, following an assessment prompted by concerns about care. Inspectors found people were safe, well cared for and treated with kindness, and that leaders were visible and supportive.

Minor shortfalls were identified around medicines and parts of the environment, but these were addressed immediately. Staffing levels were sufficient and recruitment was safe. People and relatives felt involved in care planning, understood their rights, and said they felt confident raising concerns.
