Ingleborough Nursing Home

This care home provides personal and nursing care to up to 55 older people, including those living with dementia. It operates across three floors of a large adapted building with lift access. At inspection, 22 people were using the service.

The home maintained both paper and electronic systems for managing medicines. While electronic records were found to be robust and effective, paper records for creams and ointments were not consistently completed or used properly to document administration. Audits in place were not effective at identifying and monitoring issues. Care records and risk assessments did not always contain up-to-date information, making it unclear whether people were receiving the support needed to prevent harm. Additionally, concerns identified in a fire risk assessment and during a fire drill had not been addressed in a timely manner.
