Horsell Lodge

Horsell Lodge is a care home providing residential support and end of life care to older people. Following concerns about cleanliness and end of life care, the CQC carried out a responsive assessment and found no evidence to support them. Inspectors noted the home managed a serious flooding incident well, keeping residents settled rather than relocating them.

Staff were found to be well trained, safely recruited, and knowledgeable about safeguarding and risk. Medicines were managed safely, and end of life care was described as compassionate. Residents and relatives spoke positively about staff kindness and felt safe, and the home was rated Good overall.
