Horsell Lodge

Horsell Lodge provides personal care and accommodation for up to 70 people aged 65 and over, though at inspection it was caring for 20 residents on the ground floor. Staff supported people to pursue their interests and created activities matched to individual hobbies. Care was person-centred and tailored to each resident's needs, with relatives involved in sharing information about people's life histories and preferences to help staff know them well. Residents were treated with respect and kindness by caring staff.

The home kept people safe from harm and supported medicines management through well-trained, competent staff. All staff had been safely recruited and completed mandatory induction and training. Residents received good quality food and drinks, with staff monitoring nutrition and hydration when needed and making timely referrals to specialists where appropriate.
