Staff wore appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and received regular training in infection prevention and control to maintain compliance with current guidance. The home implemented isolation procedures for residents who tested positive for Covid-19, with risk assessments completed for those unable to comply due to cognitive needs.

The service maintained a visiting policy enabling relatives to see residents safely in a designated visiting room with social distancing measures and a separate external entrance. Staff supported residents' emotional and social wellbeing by facilitating interactions between residents and organising activities such as bingo that followed social distancing guidelines.
