Avalon House

Avalon House provides personal care to people living with mental health conditions. At the time of inspection, five people were residing at the home, which can support up to ten residents across two floors of an adapted building.

Inspectors found that people did not always receive safe care, with risks not consistently identified and care plans not always in place to minimise these risks. Staff understood appropriate safety procedures, and while recruitment had been conducted safely, the process required improvements to become more robust. People were supported to take their medicines safely, though enhancements were needed in this area.
