Hillsborough House

Hillsborough House is a care home supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities or sensory impairment, including older people. A new registered manager has brought stronger oversight, and the CQC found the home is now rated Good overall, having previously been in Special Measures. People living there and their relatives reported feeling safe, involved, and well supported.

Inspectors did find one continuing breach relating to governance, with gaps in updating care plans and medicines risk assessments and procedures. The provider has been asked for an action plan to address this. Overall, though, the CQC found significant improvement, with the service no longer rated inadequate in any area.
