Hill Lodge

Hill Lodge accommodates up to 18 adults with learning disabilities and/or autism across five adapted buildings. The home has implemented effective infection control practices and health promotion strategies. Staff supported residents to understand handwashing importance through creative visual demonstrations, such as using soap, water and pepper to show how handwashing removes germs, and provided regular opportunities and prompts for hand hygiene. The service has strengthened community links with local healthcare professionals and neighbours, who assisted residents during the pandemic by offering to collect shopping and checking on their wellbeing. Local police officers have built positive relationships with residents, including birthday visits and talks on topics such as hate crime awareness.
