Hermitage Way - Telford

Hermitage Way - Telford provides nursing or personal care for up to seven people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. On the day of inspection, six people were receiving services. Staff had been trained to recognise signs of abuse and understood how to support people safely. People were encouraged to take responsibility for their own medicines with support from trained and competent staff members. The provider had assessed risks associated with care and support, and staff were knowledgeable about these risks and how to minimise potential harm. People and staff followed effective infection prevention and control procedures with access to appropriate personal protection equipment. The provider supported staff through person-centred care planning, training, and one-to-one supervision.
