Henford House

Henford House provides personal and nursing care to 31 older people, with capacity for up to 58 residents. During the inspection, significant concerns were identified with medicine management. Some people had not received their prescribed medicines, and staff had not maintained accurate records for others, making it impossible to verify whether certain residents had actually received their medications.

While the provider had quality assurance systems in place, these audits failed to identify the medicine management shortfalls found during inspection. The inspector recommended the provider seek guidance on strengthening their quality assurance systems and improving training for staff responsible for conducting audits.
