Hatfield Lodge

Hatfield Lodge is a residential home for older people living with dementia. The service had previously been in special measures following serious concerns, and this follow-up assessment found meaningful improvement across care and management, though a breach relating to staff recruitment remained unresolved.

Inspectors found people were more settled, with better access to activities, meals and outings, and staff had more time to spend with residents. Management oversight had strengthened, with new audits and an action plan in place. However, further work was still needed on risk guidance, recording of actions after incidents, and medicines management, so the service remains rated Requires Improvement overall.
