Grimston House Care Home

Grimston House provides personal care for up to 21 older adults in an adapted property. At the time of inspection, 17 people were living there with varying care needs. Residents felt safe and satisfied with their care, with one commenting "I am very happy living here, I have recommended the home" and another saying "I feel I am looked after very well."

Managers and staff demonstrated strong safeguarding practices, with appropriate training in place to recognise and respond to abuse concerns. Medicines were managed safely according to established policies, with staff properly trained in safe administration. Residents reported receiving their medications when needed. Risk assessments were current and staff had clear written guidance to minimise risks, with incidents and accidents properly recorded and reviewed to prevent recurrence.

Staff understood infection control procedures and used protective equipment appropriately. Staffing levels were sufficient to meet residents' care needs.
