Harrier Lodge

Harrier Lodge provides nursing and residential care for up to 65 older people across four specialist units: Pebble and Seashell for people living with dementia, Oyster for those with general nursing needs, and Driftwood for general residential care. At inspection, 42 people were living at the service.

Residents and relatives praised the quality of care provided. One resident said, "The staff are kind here and I like them," while a relative commented, "My mother is very well cared for. Room cleanliness, monitoring of medication and healthy meals are all excellent." People felt safe and well supported by staff who were appropriately recruited and deployed in sufficient numbers. Medicines were managed safely according to national guidance, infection control procedures were in place, and health and safety risks were effectively managed. The service safeguarded people from abuse and learned lessons when incidents occurred, with quality monitoring systems evaluating performance and ensuring regulatory requirements were met.
