About Harrier Lodge

Harrier Lodge is a nursing home in Kent, providing personal and nursing care for older people, including some living with dementia. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Harrier Lodge, in Kent, is a residential service providing personal and nursing care to older people, some of whom are living with dementia. It is jointly run by two companies under a dual registration. Following a previous inspection which found breaches around safe care, staffing, dignity and consent, the CQC found the home had made significant improvements and was no longer in breach of any regulations, with the service now rated Good overall.

Risks were being managed safely, staffing levels had improved, and medicines, nutrition and healthcare needs were well handled. However, well-led was rated Requires Improvement: care was not always person-centred, staff did not always understand people's anxieties, and feedback on the registered manager's visibility and communication was mixed.
