Harbledown Lodge

Harbledown Lodge is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to up to 56 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 40 people were using the service in a large, adapted building. People told inspectors they felt safe living there.

However, inspectors found that potential risks to people's health and safety had not always been assessed thoroughly. While staff had guidance to mitigate risks, this was not consistently applied. Accurate records about people's care and support had not been maintained, creating uncertainty about whether people received the care necessary to maintain their safety. Additionally, medicines had not always been managed safely, leaving people vulnerable to harm.
