Harpwood House is a residential care home in a newly built premises, providing nursing and personal care for up to 110 people, including older people, those with physical disabilities and people living with dementia. At the time of the CQC's assessment, 96 people lived there, some with complex health needs.

The CQC found breaches relating to medicines management and risk management, including a lack of oversight of constipation risks. However, inspectors found staff were kind, patient and knew people well, with good training and mostly positive feedback from people and relatives about care, safety and communication.
