Hammerson House

Hammerson House provides residential and nursing care for up to 116 people, primarily from the Jewish community, most over age 65. At inspection, 50 older people with a range of disabilities were using the service.

People praised the care they received, feeling safe with kind and caring staff who treated them with dignity and respect. Relatives and health professionals commended the management team as proactive and responsive, describing the service as well-led. Risk assessments were in place with detailed guidance to minimise harm and prevent avoidable infection. Staff had completed safeguarding training and understood their role in identifying and reporting concerns.

Care plans were person-centred, highlighting people's abilities and needs. Staff encouraged independence, respected privacy and dignity, and knew people well. The management team and staff were committed to providing high-quality service, with staff receiving training and good management support to effectively meet people's needs.
