Hamilton's Residential Home

Hamilton's Residential Home provides personal care for up to 17 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 15 residents were using the service. People and their relatives expressed satisfaction with their care, though inspectors identified several concerns. Guidance for staff on supporting residents' medical needs was missing, and while care plans existed, they were not consistently followed, putting people at risk. Accidents and incidents were recorded but not analysed to identify patterns or trends that might prevent future occurrences. Environmental hazards such as rips in flooring that could cause trips had not been identified or addressed.
