Elizabeth House

Elizabeth House provides residential care to up to 22 people, most of whom live with Korsakoff's syndrome and have experienced alcohol dependence. At the time of inspection, 20 people were living at the service. Staff offered constant reassurance and information about health measures to ease anxieties and help residents understand necessary precautions. Recognizing that residents' health conditions could affect their short-term memory, staff tailored their support accordingly. Staff had received training in the use of personal protective equipment and applied it appropriately to keep residents safe.
