Haighfield Care Home

Haighfield accommodates up to 45 older people in Standish, Wigan, and was caring for 34 residents at the time of inspection. The home is operated by a partnership including Mr Naveed Hussain, Mr Mohammad Hussain, and Mrs Anwar Hussain.

Inspectors found the home environment was not always safe. Topical creams, drink thickeners, and cleaning products were not stored securely, and corridor areas were cluttered, presenting trip hazards for people mobilising around the home. The fire risk assessment had not been reviewed since September 2020, despite safety requirements.
