Gwendolen Road Care Home

Gwendolen Road Care Home provides care for up to 14 people, including people with a learning disability and autistic people. At the time of the CQC's assessment, 13 people were living there. Inspectors rated the service Good overall, finding a safe, well-organised environment with clear risk assessments, safe medicines management and knowledgeable, well-trained staff.

People received kind, personalised support that respected their backgrounds and beliefs, and were encouraged to take part in meaningful community activities. A more open, inclusive management culture had brought improvements in oversight and partnership working. One area for development noted was that information was not always available in languages other than English.
