The Ark Care Lodge Limited

The Ark Care Lodge is a residential care home supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people, with 16 people using the service at the time of assessment. The CQC rated it Good overall, finding staff provided personalised, engaging care that helped people feel safe and enabled their voices to be heard. Previous breaches around person centred care, safe care, staffing and governance had been resolved.

Some concerns remained. Inspectors found quality assurance systems were not always fully effective or timely, particularly around environmental risks and medicine processes, though these issues were promptly addressed during the assessment. People and relatives spoke warmly about staff, the atmosphere, and the registered manager's communication and efficiency.
