Guisborough Manor Care Home

This residential care home provides personal care to up to 63 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia. The purpose-built facility operates across two floors on the outskirts of Guisborough and was caring for 61 people at the time of inspection.

Staff demonstrated good knowledge and provided skilled care, knowing people well. However, staffing levels were sometimes insufficient during busy periods. The service had sound safeguarding procedures in place and maintained good infection prevention and control practices. Safe recruitment processes were followed. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, using the least restrictive approaches in their best interests. The service's policies and systems supported this practice. Record keeping required improvement, with a new recording tool scheduled for implementation.
