Grovelands

Grovelands is a care home supporting older people, including those living with dementia. The CQC found the service performing exceptionally well overall, with an experienced, stable staff team who had not relied on agency cover for over five years. Leadership was strong and committed, with robust risk management, infection control and safeguarding practices firmly embedded.

Inspectors found care to be highly personalised, with memory boxes, unrestricted visiting and end-of-life wishes respected within thoughtful care planning. Feedback from families and professionals was consistently positive. A brief activity gap on one unit, caused by staff sickness, was noted but was not considered typical of usual practice.
