Greenways Rest Home

Greenways Rest Home provides personal care to up to 30 older people and people living with dementia across two floors with accessible facilities including a lift, two communal lounges, and a garden. At inspection, 18 people were using the service. The home was clean and tidy with rooms decorated to a high standard and a comfortable feel. Staff knew residents well, with one relative commenting that "the quality of care is very good, and the staff have got to know him well." The registered manager engaged well with staff and had made improvements to governance following the previous inspection.

However, the home had significant safety concerns. Security at building exits was insufficient to keep people safe, and further work was needed to meet fire safety guidance. Medicines management practices did not always protect people from risk, and some aspects of risk had not been adequately mitigated. The manager had plans in place to improve communication with residents and relatives going forward.
