The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding a calm, friendly atmosphere where staff knew people well and treated them with kindness and respect. People and relatives spoke warmly of the care provided.

Inspectors found risks were properly assessed, recruitment and training were sound, and infection control practices kept the home clean. Some people and relatives raised concerns about evening staffing levels feeling stretched, though inspectors observed enough staff on duty at the time of the visit to meet people's needs safely.

Greenhill Residential Care Home provides accommodation to a maximum of 36 people who require support with personal care. At the time of this inspection there were 35 people living there. The assessment was completed between 08 February 2024 and 22 February 2024. A site visit to gather peoples’ experiences and observe care practices was carried out on 08 February 2024. We looked at 5 quality statements; Involving people to manage risks, Safe and effective staffing, Infection prevention and control, Supporting people to live healthier lives and Kindness, compassion and dignity.
