Greenbanks Care Home

Greenbanks Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for older people, following a previous inadequate rating and a period in special measures. The CQC found significant improvement, with people safeguarded, risks well managed, records up to date, and good infection control and staffing arrangements now in place. Culture and leadership had also improved, with people and relatives confident to raise concerns.

However, inspectors found ongoing weaknesses in medicines management, including gaps in guidance for variable dose medicines and poor controlled drugs records that provider audits had missed. There were three breaches relating to good governance. Despite these shortfalls, people and relatives reported feeling safe, well cared for, and kept informed about changes in health and wellbeing.
