People and relatives were generally positive about care, felt able to raise concerns, and were supported to access healthcare services. Some mixed feedback was noted about staffing levels, particularly at lunchtimes, and inspectors found that not everyone was routinely offered choices.

We carried out our on-site assessment on 7 and 8 October 2024, off site assessment activity started on 26 September 2024 and ended on 17 October 2024. Shannon Court provides accommodation for people who require personal care for up to 53 people. The service provides support to older people, including people who are living with dementia and who can present with anxious and distressed behaviours which may impact on others. The service is divided into 5 separate units over two floors. This refers to Davis, Alvernia, Langton, Heydon and Norfolk Units. At the time of our assessment there were 42 people using the service. We assessed 22 quality statements across the domains of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led and have combined the scores for these areas with scores from our last inspection.
