Glenfields Care Home Limited

This residential care home provides personal care to up to 28 people living with dementia, physical disabilities or sensory impairments. At inspection, 25 people were using the service. Medicines were administered safely and staff demonstrated good knowledge about when people needed their medication, though additional guidance for staff was recommended. Staff were trained and knowledgeable, meeting people's needs safely and promptly. The manager maintained safe staffing levels, and people and their relatives were positive about the care provided.

Quality assurance systems had not identified several shortfalls found during inspection, including issues with medicines records, risk assessments, and recruitment documentation. Although regular review processes for risk assessments and fire records needed strengthening, staff effectively managed risks to people's safety and wellbeing in practice. The manager and provider began addressing the identified shortfalls following the inspection.
