The White House Residential Home

The White House Residential Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 20 people, currently supporting 15 residents. The service specializes in caring for older people and those living with dementia.

Inspectors identified significant concerns regarding resident safety. The provider had not adequately identified or mitigated risks related to medicines, health and care needs, and environmental hazards. Additionally, staff did not consistently support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, nor did they always use the least restrictive approaches in residents' best interests. Mental capacity assessments had not been completed for all people using the service, and the home's policies and systems did not adequately support practices that promote choice and autonomy.
