Glenesk Care Home

Glenesk provides personal care for up to 22 older people, including those living with dementia or physical disability. At inspection, 21 residents were living at the home. Staff ensure medicines are administered safely through a new electronic system and monitor risks to people's care needs effectively. Enough staff are available to respond to residents' needs promptly, and all staff complete induction training with ongoing supervision support for their roles.

Safety concerns were identified regarding electric plugs and the layout of the managers station in a communal area. Records for testing water outlets lacked clarity. Accident and incident investigations are conducted with measures in place to prevent recurrence, and staff follow current government guidelines to protect residents from avoidable harm.
