Gingercroft Residential Home

Gingercroft Residential Home provides residential care for older people. Following a previous inadequate rating, inspectors found the service had made significant improvements and was no longer in breach of legal regulations, though it remains rated requires improvement overall. It has come out of special measures as a result of this progress.

The CQC found people felt safe and well cared for, with good relationships between staff and residents, but noted risks remained around the environment, infection control and mental capacity checks. Feedback on food was mixed, though people had enough to eat and drink. Staff and management were described as dedicated, with further improvements still needed to sustain the progress made.
