Freshford Cottage Nursing Home

Freshford Cottage Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 20 older people with a range of health care needs, including those with memory loss and people receiving end-of-life care. At the time of inspection, 17 people were using the service.

Inspectors found that people were not consistently supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives. Staff did not always support residents in the least restrictive way possible or in their best interests, and the home's policies and systems did not adequately support this practice.
