Formby Manor Care Centre

Formby Manor Care Centre provides personal and nursing care to up to 76 people aged 65 and over across three floors with separate adapted facilities. One floor specializes in caring for people living with dementia, while another supports those requiring nursing care. At the time of inspection, 51 people were resident at the home.

Medicines were not always managed safely. The system for ordering, recording and administration was not effective, which placed people at unnecessary risk. Additionally, systems to assess, monitor and improve the quality and safety of the service were not always effective, with audits failing to identify concerns discovered during the inspection.
