Margaret Roper House

Margaret Roper House provides personal and nursing care to up to 23 younger and older adults living with mental health conditions. The purpose-built service operates over two floors with communal lounges, kitchenettes, a dining room and conservatory.

Inspectors found that safety, effectiveness and oversight required improvement. Risks to people were not always managed safely, as care plans did not consistently assess risks or provide adequate information on how to minimise them. Although accidents were recorded, there was no evidence that risks had been analysed or that safety-related themes and trends had been considered. Care plans lacked detail, provided inconsistent information and did not always reflect people's current needs, placing people at risk of receiving inappropriate care. Systems to monitor, assess and improve the safety and quality of the service were not robust.
