Flaxman Avenue

Flaxman Avenue provides short-break support and personal care to people with learning disabilities, autism and complex sensory needs, accommodating up to 6 people though only 2 were present during inspection. The service maintains staffing levels to meet individual needs and supports people to take medicines safely. Staff promote choice, control and independence, working in the least restrictive way possible and in people's best interests.

Risk assessments were in place, though inspectors found individual risks were not always fully assessed with control measures regularly reviewed, and made a recommendation about how risks should be recorded and managed. People receive person-centred care tailored to their individual needs and are consistently treated with dignity and respect.
