Fernhill provides personal care to 57 residents in a four-unit residential setting designed to feel homely and welcoming. The building features café areas, a post office, hairdressers, and multiple activity spaces alongside an accessible garden, allowing residents freedom of movement and choice. The service was undergoing significant upgrades at the time of inspection, with some work still ongoing including a new roof garden and updates to several areas.

However, these ongoing improvements did not affect the running of the service or residents' safety. Residents praised the staff, noting they were "very well trained" and demonstrating good knowledge in their roles.
