Ferguson Lodge

Ferguson Lodge provides accommodation and personal care for up to 46 people with dementia, physical disabilities, sensory impairment, or older age support. The service operates from one adapted building. At inspection, 39 people were using the service.

Inspectors identified widespread shortfalls in how the service operated. These included inadequate assessment of risk, poor management of medicines, failure to meet duty of candour requirements, safeguarding concerns, issues around obtaining consent from residents, insufficient staffing levels, and weak governance structures. While a duty of candour policy statement existed, inspectors found the provider did not demonstrate a genuine understanding of their obligations under this requirement.
